We did this fun trail before we lost our minds and attempted Iron Chest in the dark. It's very near Buena Vista, not far from Highway 285, through and next to prison property. It's a fun trail that loops, so you don't have to backtrack until the very last piece on your way out.

It's a mixture of big and small rock gardens and a large waterfall rock (no water anymore), with workarounds for all obstacles. Many times there were a few different approaches to every obstacle, keeping it interesting.

We saw a lot of people on the trail, including a club from New Mexico and a group of older Cherokees. We all managed to slam into a couple of rocks, though Kendall got the only body damage when he attempted to pose on a rock too big for Rokee. This is definitely going to be a yearly trail, with Buena Vista just under 2 1/2 hours from Denver.

We all met at the gas station in the town of Johnson Village. When we got there, we saw a lot of Jeeps getting gas and meeting up with their groups. We made it to the parking area at the start of Chinaman Gulch and aired down. As we were…
