China Wall
The first trail of the day was China Wall. It looked like it was going to be a nice and warm day with sunshine. We all met at the trailhead for China Wall and aired down there.
Soon we were ready to start the day off. The first part of the China Wall was easy, though the first hill climb was fun. There were some areas off to the side that had snow on them, but the trail itself was free of snow.
We all stopped to play on the Poser Rocks. We all had fun driving up on them and flexing out our Jeeps. Matt knew the line and drove right over it. Chad had a hard time going up over it because he did not have lockers, but playing on it was still fun. Patrick was also not locked and got a bit stuck, and he needed a small tug to get back out of it. Monica managed to get the most tire in the air on the Poser Rocks.
The next obstacle was the Tippy Rocks section, and no one had any issues. It was all fun.
Then we were at the Rock Slab. Matt and Monica were the only ones to make it up over it. Chad gave it a good try and just could not go up without lockers. It was muddy and flexy at the bottom, and lockers ended up being a requirement.
At the end of the China Wall trail we stopped for lunch. After lunch we made our way back to the intersection of forest service road 204 and took it the rest of the way out to the main road. The Rocky Hill near the end made for some good pictures. Then we were off to Goose Creek Road.
