We did this trail right after going over Jones Pass. We were expecting something a little more technical, but we made it fun anyway. It started with a long, steep, and fun hill (no problem for anyone). More hills followed -- one with some loose rock on a steep grade that Kendall wrestled with for a long time -- and then we found "Bill Moore Puddle" and "Bill Moore Trench." The trench was big enough to lose a Jeep in, and we played in that for a long time.

Dave launched his huge Jeep out of the trench three times and caught some amazing air, and managed to dent his fender in pretty well in the process. Monica launched herself too -- Kendall tried but his Cherokee just weighed too much. Beth succeeded in dragging her Jeep out perpendicular to the trench, but not before crunching her tailgate in a little bit. Dave was the only one who could get over a big rock at the trench, though Kendall and Monica tried and failed. Monica found a big rock near the actual Lake and did some pretty good flex posing.

Bill Moore Lake was our destination. The 102 degree heat was what we were trying to leave behind. On the way up the hill with the whoopdeedoos we were stuck behind a couple of Toyota trucks, one Rubicon and one Scout. They were having a very difficult time with the…
