Monitor and Merrimac Buttes
We tried for so long to find Sevenmile Rim but we couldn't find it! We asked people and everyone was pretty sure we were in the right place but they were all confused too. We found the beginnings of it but then went and tried further down the road. We found out later that we had actually gone in the end of the trail for a little while before we turned around and went back out.
It wasn't all a loss though -- we found the big Sand Hill on the Monitor and Merrimac Buttes trail. What a blast that was! Beth drove up the hill like a maniac but still could only make it about halfway up. Her Jeep made it the furthest out of anyone.
There are also some fun stairs and ledges around the big Sand Hill so those were good practice on our first day in town.
