Hell’s Revenge
After doing Moab Rim and Killer Kane we were ready for a another trail, so we headed out to Hell's Revenge. We were able to get started at 2:00PM.
This is a great trail, but this time it was fairly uneventful. We didn't need to stop much and just enjoyed the run. We had done this trail before so we knew what to expect.
We didn't see many vehicles until we neared the top of the big dome, near the hot tubs. We saw a Hummer doing a tour, and some runners that made better time than we did. When we got to the top is was only 3:00PM and we wanted to play in the tubs, but it was very windy. The weather was getting worse and there was a very large group just ahead of us. Sean went through the Bath Tub, but we wanted to get out of the wind as quick as we could so we headed down.
We caught up to a large group from Colorado on The Escalator and we decided to stop and watch them. We did manage to get around the large group.
At the Tip-Over Challenge we both had no problems. We noted that the area at the tip over challenge has lots of new paint asking folks not to play in the wash that has previously been a challenge for some of the group.
It was pretty cold by this time so we just headed out. The end of the trail has changed some too since we were last here -- fences bring you out further down the road than before. We were surprised that it only took us two hours to do the trail. It was raining so we didn't complain about the end of wheeling for the day and we headed back into town.
