Caribou Creek
We left Boulder at 8:45AM and stopped to photograph Boulder Falls. Then we proceeded north from Nederland, observing the Aspen trees were mostly past their peak Fall colors. Then we decided to hike to five of the Rainbow Lakes.
We returned to the start of the north end of the Caribou Creek trail. The old whoopdeedoo area is now off limits and rocks line the Caribou Creek crossing. The rutted area south of the creek crossing was wet but easily negotiable.
We met one vehicle and one motorcycle while we were stopped to take pictures. The trip was uneventful, hitting bottom once at the usual place.
